Traveling in Southeast Asia is one of my favorite adventures. I recently got back from a 3 week trip to Vietnam. The people are amazing, the culture is incredible, the history is fascinating and the landscape is simply stunning. There are so many things to do in Vietnam that 3 weeks just touches the surface. Here is a overview of my adventure so when you plan your next trip, you'll know some of the highlights. Day 1. We arrived at the Hanoi Airport in the evening. Getting through customs was simple thanks to the travel company prearranging the visa's.
I saw a great video on You Tube today that reminded me a lot of my last trip to Vietnam. After watching it, I'm itching to go back so I though I would share it with you.
Vietnam is full of so many wonderful things, the people are friendly, the history is stunning and the scenery is incredible. It's one of my top favorite destinations for experiencing Asian culture.
Ha Long Bay is one of the most popular travel destinations in Vietnam as well as Worldwide. The name Halong literately means descending dragon. The name follows the historical vestige that the origins of Vietnam came a fairy and a dragon. As the story is told, thousands of karsts were placed in Ha Long Bay by God to protect Vietnam from its enemies. From the sky it appears that the karsts you see in Halong bay look like a dragon sleeping on the surface of the water.
